Wagging Tails and Trails was founded in 2008 with the goal of providing regular exercise, a safe and controlled social environment, and loving care for your dogs. We are committed to this approach, wholeheartedly. Based on our experience over the last 13 years, we’ve found that pack walks in the woods are a great pathway to a happy, healthy dog.

Our Story

Love at first dog

My family has always cherished and loved the many pets we’ve had over the years, but one of our family dogs proved to be particularly challenging. The solution we found for him went on to become the foundation for the business we have today.

Murphy was a rescue with a big heart, but had more energy than we knew what to do with. Eventually, we discovered that running him off leash on the beach, or in the woods with other dogs, helped “calm him way down.” This regular exercise was a game changer, and as a result, our entire family was able to enjoy him much more! Since then, I’ve found this solution has worked for lots of other dogs!

I officially decided to start a dog walking business in 2008 and eventually expanded to pet sitting for a variety of animals. My family has always been involved from the beginning, including our own children, extended family, and close friends! In 2018, my husband Charlie officially joined me as co-owner.

We continue to love what we do and always look forward to caring for your animals as much as you do!

Services

Pack Walks

We primarily offer pack walks in the woods with about 4-6 dogs at a time. We’ve found this to be the most effective physical and social exercise for most dogs. We leash dogs at our discretion- always keeping your dog's safety at the forefront.

Starts at $30 per walk

$50 for 2 dogs per pack walk

$50 for two walks in one day

Puppies Welcome!

At the right age we love integrating puppies into the group.

Until they are ready, house visits are available.

Prices will vary. We can refer and advise on training.

Pet Sitting

We do at home visits so your dog has the benefit of staying in the comfort of their own home while you’re away.

Drop by only

Includes a walk and 2 additional visits for one dog.

Prices starting at $75

*Charges per additional animal. Prices vary.

Cats only- starts at $25 per day

Overnight stay

Starts at $110 per night

7pm- 7am

Includes a sleepover at your home.

Addition charges for walks and drop by's during the day.

Other Services:

Transport to and from the vet or groomer.

Leash walks and pet visits - Please inquire.
